Wooba participates in NDC Day Air France & KLM in Paris

On April 3, Wooba, represented by Vera Petrich, Director of Partnerships, attended the NDC Day Air France & KLM, a meeting held by the airline group at Air France headquarters in Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Paris. The event brought together the world's leading air content aggregators to discuss the direction of the New Distribution Capability (NDC), an initiative that has been transforming the distribution of airline tickets globally.

With a focus on sharing updates and discussing the main challenges facing the sector, NDC Day promoted a technical and strategic workshop on the new possibilities brought by NDC, reinforcing the role of partnerships in building a more efficient, personalized and connected ecosystem.

For Wooba, being part of this select group of guests is a reflection of the ongoing work in innovation and technological integration in the tourism sector.

“Participating in Air France and KLM’s NDC Day was a strategic opportunity to strengthen our partnership with one of the world’s largest airline groups. We discussed, side by side with the main aggregators, the paths towards a more efficient, personalized and connected future in air distribution. NDC is more than a trend in airlines; it is a new standard that will enable much richer and customer-focused experiences,” says Vera Petrich.

What is NDC and why does it matter?

New Distribution Capability (NDC) is a new communications standard developed by IATA that allows airlines to have more control over their content offering, personalize experiences, and distribute fares and ancillary services more directly and intelligently.

In addition to benefiting airlines with increased revenue and reduced distribution costs, NDC represents significant gains for agencies and OTAs, which now have access to more data, customized offers and improved integration. This provides more options for travelers, stimulates value-based competition and accelerates innovation across the ecosystem.

Wooba's presence at the event reinforces its commitment to the evolution of air distribution and to supporting the digital transformation of travel agencies, providing tools that connect agents to the main suppliers with agility, security and performance.
